Radiation protection worker / Radiation protection specialist (m/f/d)

The impact you can make with us:

  • You will assist in performing dose rate and contamination measurements and in the corresponding documentation in connection with clearance projects in accordance with the German Radiation Protection Ordinance (StrlSchV).
  • Operating gamma spectrometry measurement systems is no challenge for you.
  • You will be responsible for the metrological determination of sampling points and the execution of sampling.
  • You will actively support the implementation of sample management and its documentation.
  • You will assist with the radiation protection monitoring of activities in controlled and monitoring areas in accordance with the Radiation Protection Ordinance (StrlSchV) as part of operational monitoring.
  • You will advise radiation protection officers on radioactive residues and waste and assign appropriate disposal options.

Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed your examination as a radiation protection technician (VGB).
  • You have passed an unrestricted security clearance check in accordance with Section § 12b.
  • You are certified for respiratory protection (G26) and have successfully completed basic respiratory protection training.
  • You have a valid medical examination for persons exposed to radiation.
  • Teamwork and communication skills are among your particular strengths.
  • You have a keen interest in physical processes and measurement technology.
  • You are characterised by analytical thinking, a high degree of initiative and an independent and structured approach to work.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel round off your profile.
