Project Engineer (m/f/d) Nuclear Documentation

The impact you can make with us:

  • You will create and coordinate documentation for radioactive waste from dismantling and decontamination (D&D) that is intended for interim storage or final disposal in accordance with the requirements of nuclear regulations.
  • You will be responsible for documenting the origin, treatment, packaging and radiological properties of the waste in specific data formats.
  • You will ensure that all documents are prepared in a manner that allows them to be reviewed and approved, including all necessary traceability and proof of conformity.
  • Together with internal departments and external partners, you will coordinate content and prepare documents for storage permits or clearance.
  • You will regularly check and maintain the underlying waste databases, radiation protection records and packaging information to ensure complete traceability.
  • In the event of changes to legal requirements or as part of internal audits, you will play an active role and adapt existing documentation processes.

Your profile:

  • You have a degree in power engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or a comparable field.
  • You have experience in the area of repository documentation for existing radioactive waste.
  • You are confident in applying legal frameworks such as the AtG, StrlSchG, StrlSchV, final disposal conditions and regulatory requirements of the BGE.
  • You are known for your strong analytical skills, a high degree of initiative and your independent and structured way of working.
  • You are very familiar with common IT programs (MS Office).
  • You are flexible and willing to travel.
  • Ideally, you have a valid driving licence.
  • Very good German language skills (at least C1 level) round off your profile; good English and French skills are an advantage.
