About us
Dornier Hinneburg GmbH – Experts in radiation protection and the dismantling of nuclear facilities
With over 25 years of experience, Dornier Hinneburg GmbH, founded in 1986 by Dieter Hinneburg, is known for tailor-made solutions in the fields of nuclear technology, radiation protection and shielding. Working together with the family and close colleagues, pioneering concepts for reducing ionising radiation have been developed worldwide.
In 2024, the company merged with Dornier Nuclear Services to form Dornier Hinneburg GmbH, part of the Dornier Group’s Nuclear Services business unit. This is where we pool our expertise to provide comprehensive support for nuclear technology projects – from planning to documentation.
On 1 September 2025, Dornier Hinneburg GmbH was sold to the Bureau Veritas Group. The company continues to operate as an independent legal entity on the market and, as a result of the sale, has gained a strong focus on internationalisation and global project support.
